Nashville technology job openings outpace supply

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The number of Nashville technology job openings is nearly double the number of people receiving credentials in IT-related fields.

A recent study from the Nashville Technology Council says the total number of job openings in the metro area was reported at 1,548, while 822 students received a degree or certificate related to technology occupations. The organization also reported that the number of technology job openings grew 9 percent from 2013 to 2014 in Nashville.

The Nashville Technology Council is actively promoting efforts to increase the supply of tech talent in the city and region, including workshops, internships and sponsorship opportunities. View or download a copy of the report, visit the website here.
